Santurantikuy in Cusco

Tomorrow is Christmas, and in Cusco there is not a better way to start this catholic feast than going to the Santurantikuy or the buying of saints, the Christmas fair, which is held at the main square every 24.

Here is a look at this popular fair which was declared Peru´s Cultural Heritage in 2009.

Locals and foreigners start shopping around at 9am…

…but artisans come earlier, around 5am.
