Empanadas in Cusco

I have already shown you some snacks in Cusco such as anticuchos, corn on the cob and potatoes with egg.

My favorite snacks are, by far, the tamal (1) and the empanada. Talking about empanadas, you should know there are three different kinds of them in Cusco. Take a look and then enjoy.

Movie theater in Cusco

movie theaters in cuscoWe do not have any movie theater in Cusco.

That means: no multi-plex cinemas, no stadium reclining seats, no pop-corn, not even trailer posters announcing future films.

A different view of Pisaq

Today, July 16th, is the main day of the Festivity of the Virgen del Carmen in Pisaq as well as in other cities of Cusco like Paucartambo, Checacupe and Huarocondo.

See these rare photographs of Pisaq:

Hike to Pisaq II

The trek Cusco Yuncaypata takes me today 30 minutes less than yesterday. The silence of the town is broken by some kids who are playing with pigs on the unpaved street full of mud. After trying unsuccessfully to find the main square, I leave Yuncaypata heading to the Pass of Ccorao which seems to be near, but you never know in the mountains.
